Field Names: Gunby
The Gunby Survey of 1758 describes the farms of John Hepton and Robert Buttle. On the flyleaf of the survey booklet are some notes: Robert Hepton begun to occupy in Gunby about 1782, and the whole about 1790. W had Gunby in 1779. W Scolfield had Gunby in 1806.
The survey is in the East Riding Archives, Beverley, under reference: DDGU/2/12

Explanation of the Letters where Quality is Wrote at the Top
P for Pasture Land. M for Meadow land and A for Arable or Plowing land
There is an Allowance made in the Valuation of each Close for Hedges Roads and Waste Land.
Those two Farms are both Tyth free, except 5s. 6d to the Parson of Bubwith.
