Unfortunately the detailed rolls for that part of the East Riding that contains the parish of Aughton have not survived (Holme on Spalding Moor is the nearest). What have survived are the receipts, which contain no names, except those of the Constable and a countersigning Probi Homines (good man or men of standing in the community, usually a member of the local gentry).
